Online & In-Person Therapy for Adults with Anxiety & Depression in Swartz Creek, MI
Adulthood isn’t always all it’s cracked up to be.
With the transition into college, the workforce, or parenthood comes a whole new set of challenges. You’re being faced with things they don’t teach in school: social media pressures to be perfect, navigating dating without being a people-pleaser, ditching the loneliness to create adult friendships, and figuring out what you truly want as you grow up.
Maybe you’re in a job that isn’t really what you want to do, or perhaps you’ve just had a relationship end that you thought was really going somewhere. If you’re struggling to trust yourself and pull yourself out of this anxiety, depression, or overwhelm, you don’t have to do it alone.
I specialize in working with young adults in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s, helping them navigate life’s many twists and turns with ease and confidence. Together, we’ll get clear on your goals, the direction you’d like to go, and develop the mental and emotional skills you need to overcome your anxiety or depression, and thrive in your relationships, work, and life.

Finding it hard to express your feelings or have close relationships?
You’re not alone. Many young people struggle with the transition into adulthood. They wake up, wishing they didn’t have to get out of bed and overwhelmed before the day has even really started. They struggle to find a sense of satisfaction or accomplishment with their work, often asking themselves: “Why bother?” They’re sleeping, drinking, and eating too much or not enough as a means of coping with the reality that you’re not doing too hot.
I have news for you—It’s going to be ok. You’re going to be ok, because therapy is on it’s way. Virtual or in-person counseling in Michigan can help you pave a path for yourself in this new phase of your life, leading you healing, inner peace, confidence, and joy.
You are enough.
You can feel better.
With time and support, you will find the strength to overcome your challenges and embrace joy

Frequently Asked Questions
-
We will meet weekly or biweekly for 53+ minute sessions. I will complete an initial assessment that helps us understand your support system, strengths, and weaknesses. From there, we’ll develop a custom treatment plan: a week-by-week set of goals, resources, and milestones to help you start living the life you want. We’ll use this plan to direct our sessions together to ensure we make the progress you’re looking for.

My goal is for you to eventually feel totally empowered on your own -- not reliant on me! I aim for you to begin seeing progress after your very first session. Usually, I work with clients on a weekly basis for 3-4 months. From there, we often move to biweekly or monthly sessions for another 3-4 months. Eventually, we’ll move to just having “check-ins” whenever needed.

It’s normal to have thought about therapy for a long time but never taken the “leap.” But if you’ve found yourself here, it’s because you know you could use some support, right? It’s not necessary to have had a massive life event or trauma to benefit from therapy; in fact, many of my clients who have benefited the most have been those who just knew there had to be “something more” in life, but didn’t know how to get there.
If you’re still not sure, that’s okay. Schedule a free consultation with me, and if therapy isn’t the best route for you, I can give you some resources or suggestions to look into instead.
